Piano Star

H has done very well with piano. This is her second year of lessons and she amazes me with what she has learned. Piano playing has always amazed me, that whole make your hands do two separate things at the same time with the same intensity. She amazes me. I'm proud of her accomplishments here. She participated in the MMTA contest this past weekend for the first time, and has advanced to the next step! Way to go lady!

Dancing Star

This was the girls extra dance surprise for us. Gosh they are so dang cute.

The Hitch Kick, oh yeah, she got it!

Another star!

My Star!

5th Grade winter band concert was tonight. I'm very proud of my trombone player! J is a very sports minded individual and I wasn't so sure how he'd take to playing an instrument. However, I wanted him to experience it for at least a year. So far he seems to really enjoy it and has made no mention of quitting. Hooray!

He had a part in a trio tonight too, he said he was nervous....sweated it out a bit, but I couldn't tell. he did a great job! I'm proud of him!

Baby Its Cold Outside!

How cold is it????

Its sooooo cold my 3 year old acutally left her mittens on! THATS COLD!

We stayed in bed this AM hoping hoping for 2 hour late start. But alas, it was not to be. SIGH. As we are making the last drop off to preschool S started to complain her little toe hurt. Once arriving at school I checked the size on her boots.....WHOOPS! I thought for sure they were a big 13...NOPE! They are a 12! S wears a 1. Two stores later problem solved.

If anyone needs a size 5 pink boot....Walmart has like 20. Well my Walmart does anyway. They do not have any 1's or 2's.

Its suppose to be 20 on Sunday. That sounds like a heat wave.

Reason number 6754 for stalling the bedtime procedure....

"Mom, I slept with my toothbrush, and now I can't find it"

Minty fresh Eyeballs

Are you in the market for some? Here's what you do....

1. Rub "Vicks" vapor rub on your 3 year old.

2. Wash hands with soap and water.

3. Remove contact. Say, "wow, that kind of stings"

4. Quickly remove other contact (because your brain is frozen and the cause of the stinging has yet to connect all the way)

5. Then say, "wow! now my first eye is really stinging....and oh my my other eye is too!"

6. Ta-da! Minty fresh eyes.

Conclusions....soap and water does NOT remove Vics from your hands.
