My puter is fixed. Spyware had attacked it. It is all clean now.
I am so happy to have my puter back....all my favorites and things arranged the way I like 'em.
Happy gal am I!

Determination
I feel the need to put this somewhere so I don't forget.
Thoughts I had last night while I reassured my sick with a cold baby.....
G is such a determined little bugger. And might I say a bit stubborn.
For example. Ramming your head into an open drawer over and over again will not make it move. She continues to disagree.
Quickly dismantling the steamer while Mom is reading books to the bigger kids, running off with a piece of it, falling and splitting your lip does not mean you should leave these things alone. Nope, it just means you need more practice.
Things she has learned but likes to continue testing, daily.
1. climbing up on things you do not know how to climb down from is a good reflex activity for Mom
2. The dog will not eat your vegatables
3. Smashing your dinner in your hair is a good way to get a splash in the tub
4. knocking over S's princess castle will get you involved in a good chase. And apparently being knocked over during it is still worth the rush
5. Dad will pick you up INSTANTLY if you: smile sweetly at him, wave your arms at him, blow him a kiss, say "da da da".....OK....Dad really is a pretty big pushover all things considered.
6. Getting into your sisters markers is another good way to get a splash in the tub
7. Colored tupperware bowls on your head can really change your perspective
8. while the dog will not eat your vegetables, she is perfectly happy to share her dinner with you!
9. and the dogs water dish is almost as much fun as a splash in the tub
10. and if your sick in the night....Mom is there. Over and over again.
Love you baby girl!
My busy girl will be 1 in just 1 short week. A year ago today I didn't even know she existed. Now I can hardly imagine life without.

Computer Broke!
My computer had the audacity to "break" on me Sunday. :( It is now being "tested" at a computer doctor. Meaning, my husband was referred to this "doctor" for his business and so far I'm not impressed. It has taken them two days just to call...and I'm not sure that they have yet. I just know that I am done waiting after two days. SO far they are failing the "test" IMO. In a business such as my hubby's, computers are vitally important and waiting for two days JUST to get the repair man to call back is simply NOT accetable.
I miss my puter. I miss my favorites list. I miss my friends I chat with on it. I miss the familiarity of it. I am a computer addict and I know it and I'm just fine with that. I hope I get it back soon.
Until then.

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Tday everyone! I won't make it on here tommorow for sure. We have 9 extra ones coming for dinner bringing our total to 15. I swear, next year I am going to vote for a restaurant. (I think I say that every year)
Things to be thankful for. Where does one start. When you think about if from the perspective of another mother who lives in say, Dufar. It is just insane how much I have that she doesn't. I go to bed every night in a comfortable bed. Secure in the knowledge of safty. In the morning I will have plenty to feed my kids several times in the day. I will have plenty of water to wash with. Clothes to dress in. Tools and gadgets to help me through my day. As well as plenty of entertainment.
I don't think I can be thankful enough. I am certainly very full. And it is a long time before dinner.

Everyday
OK....national blog month or not I just can't blog every day. I compose many wonderful posts in my head while changing diapers, scrubbing floors and folding laundry. But to actually get here and type 'em out? Ain't happening. And then when I DO get here.....the wonderful idea is gone....and you are left with this! LOL
We are all back to healthy here. I started feeling queasy about 3rd day in and so I simply stopped eating for 2 days. I did not need any more anything to clean if you catch my drift.
My babe, who will be one already in just 2 short weeks.....doesn't want to sleep through the night lately. WHAT is up with that. Lots of suggestions to let her CIO....which is simply not an option. I let her cry just a little bit last night, until my 3 year old begs from her bed across the room for her to PLEASE stop crying and go nigh nigh. Not fair to her, or her other 2 sibs, or to the renter downstairs. Girl....you just gotta stop this!!!
And I wasn't very patient about it last night either. Not good. And I have 9 people coming to join the 6 of us for Tday dinner in what, 48 hours? You should see my house. Also not good.

Sick
We have rotovirus. Or something like that. It seems to be lasting about 2 1/2 days so maybe it is another like virus as I think rotovirus lasts longer. Anyway. 4 out of 6 of us have it. I so far have not thankfully and hope I continue to avoid it! Some one has to be able to keep cleaning around here.
Then my dryer quick working. NOT a good time for that! Thankfully the fix it man got her running and we are disinfecting again that way.
YUCK

tagged
OK.....I was tagged and apparently this means I'm suppose to share 8 random things about me.
Here it goes
1. I am loyal. When I make a friend, I stick.
2. I was in the Air National Guard. I tend to think about that around veterns days, which incidently it is today. I don't count myself as a Vetern. I was never deployed. Put on alert during Desert Storm was as close as I got thankfully.
3. I live in my MIL's house. My sister lives in her MIL's house. My mother used to live in her MIL's house. My SIL lived in her MIL's house. How weird is that?
4. I used to teach 3rd grade. And one year of 4th. I liked it, but I like being a Mom more! :) and I don't know if I could do it again or not. Public schools are messy
5. I hate to empty dishwashers
6. I'm not very good at random! I mean anything random. I like to make cards and scrapbook, but to put things randomly? I can work way to long on making something look random. And I can't stop myself from finding patterns in the random.
7. Apparently I am rather involved with my kids!! As I write these I keep thinking of things directly related to them and not so much about me. So I guess THAT is part of me. At this stage in my life I am very connected to my 4 awesome kids!!
8. I am a sit still person. I like to read, watch TV, use computer, scrapbook....all sit still stuffs! My husband is a mover....and he makes me move. Its a good thing!

Updates
Dad has his cancer surgery yesterday. It went as well as it could which is "fantastic!" :) He was cracking jokes and telling stories the rest of the afternoon/evening. Shortly before we left I was waiting outside for the one public bathroom on the floor....and it dawned on me that I was on the onconlogy floor. The guy 2 doors down from my Dad wasn't bald because he was a balding old guy. I am so slow sometime I amaze myself.
Pathology report due in tommorow. Doc expects good news!
I was thinking more about the will business (go figure after spending a day at the hospital) Anyway, I think who ever we choose, we won't tell. Telling I think causes problmes like what blessed with daughters explained. Now I just gotta convince my hubby of that.
Mandy....what does it mean to be "tagged"?

Adoption Month
Its national adoption month. Woo Hoo. I get a bit overwhelmed with national "months" there are so many of them anymore it isn't so "special" anymore. Which makes me want to not participate so much. But this one cuts pretty close. So, I cave.
Here is my adoption thought for today. Estate planning. I admit we do not have a will. And we need one. And any excuse I can come up with is not a good enough one. I have every intention of bringing it up with hubby ASAP and not dropping it this time.
Here is how it swirls around to adoption. How the heck do I find a person who meets all the normal things a person thinks about when choosing a guardian and finds someone who can agree with at least for the most part your views on adoption? When I think about that question it just makes my head spin.
I have pretty set views. And these views have come into play after a good 15 years of study. I have views from observing or participating on all 3 sides of the preverbial "triad". Where am I going to find someone who has done the same and also shares similar values on faith, discipline, money, and general child raising?
Thats it! I just can't die!! Seriously though, it is just an overwhelming thought. And one I just haven't yet come to any set answer yet. The only thing I've considered it to type out those "views" But MAN where to begin!! there is just so much!

Monday
I think our nice weather days are numbered here! The sky is gray, the wind in howling and there have been some spits of white stuff. Ew. Winter is on its way I'm afraid!!
Busy cleaning and laundry doing today. Yup, its Monday. Is there some comaraderie in this? How many non salaried Moms do laundry on Mondays?
Ah Mondays.

off to a rough start!
So much for everyday!! LOL. I actually got outta dodge here for 2 days...so if it blows the challenge so be it. This Mom had a great time chatting with grownups, shopping for her ONLY, getting a pedicure and eating hot food. AND I slept all night. I'm a competitive person by nature but forgoing the challenge for that was all worth it.
Transitioning. OK...I do get "time off" you might say. An overnight away with no kids or hubby once or twice a year. Coming home again always seems to be a bit rough. I think I was braced for it this time and things went a bit more smoothly....but do you know what I mean by this? I really think a break from the everything is good for the Momma's soul. I'd be open to any tips someone might have as to how to gracefully entered back into the routine you left.

National blog posting month
Did you know its national blog posting month?
I didn't until today....but it is. The idea is that you post in your blog daily for a month.
Its also national poetry month....don't expect any from me though...not my area!!
And national adoption awareness month too. You might get somthing related in that way. :)
Are you now waiting with baited breath to see what I come up with???
LOL....I crack myself up!!
