The sweetest thing

My 82 day old baby girl molded to my body in the way we've learned to fit each other. I love that she prefers me to all others on the planet. I haven't had a chance to test that theory but I do believe it to be true. I know we have not been together as long as she was with (fill in the name/lable of your choice). But she knows me. I have earned her trust. I treasure that. And the special way she fits with me. She is one of the sweetest things ever.

MOVING!

Its official. We are indeed buying my IL's house....3 blocks away. Its a good thing. Or it will be when we are all moved! Meanwhile I am thinking about how I'm going to get done all I need to while my 2 month old and 3 year old HELP...LOL!!!

Moving. This will be our 8th move and 4th house in 13 1/2 years. A hobby? You might say that LOL. We are certainly pretty good at it. I'm having the second thoughts this week as is my hubby. We aren't suppose to have them at the same time but alas, even with practice you can't always get everything right! There are many great things about our current house. We've put a ton of time and effort not to mention money into this place. It is far from perfect. There are still things that bug us that we can't do much about. Like the teeny tiny bathrooms that make having a stool in there for the kids nearly impossible. But this house is a step up for us....and eventually will have more space for living and entertaining which we really like to do. It is a good investment in a town that is growing. Blah blah blah

I've decided it is what it is because of where I came from. My mother lived in her MIL house, my sister lives in her MIL house and my SIL lived in her MIL house. Apparently this is what we do! ;)

In other news....I am happy to find out my DD G's bmom found away to at least get pictures and letters from us. Long story I'm not going to get into here. She is such a remarkable woman, I am very happy that in the future G may have a chance to know her!

Momma's Babies

Thanks guys for the welcome to the world of blogging!!!

A thread on a forum made me think on this some more today. I believe my little G is well on her way to being just that. In most ways I don't mind one bit! She is very likely my last baby and keeping her that way as long as possible is very appealing to say the least :). I can't believe how much I love that little 9 pound bundle of squirm

I have another Momma's baby. My 8 year old. It was more difficult with him for me. I wanted to share him with people to enough of a degree that they would get to know him and love him and he would have NOTHING to do with anyone but me. It made me sad sometimes. And exhausted a lot of the time. It is hard to be someones everything! With G I know that this period of major physical attachment wont last forever....and I think I won't take comments like, "she sure is spoiled" (already had that one once...she is 2mo old for cripes sakes!!!!) so personally. I have more confidence in my own mothering and know that a little one demanding physical contact from his momma is not spoiling! Its bonding! And some need more of that type of contact then others.

Market analysis on the house went well today....should see the results by the end of the week...and we'll know if we can go ahead or not....so we just have to decide IF we are going to do it! The house would be a nice one for us to grow into. At first we would keep the renter downstairs. One of the things I'm looking forward to is the fact that all 3 girls will share one big room. It is big....2 large closets....and one room to hold everything that is girl! Right now I spend so much time going from room to room (they are in 3 separate right now) getting them dressed and doing hair (our bathroom is waaaaay to small to house all the hair products and dodads we have) It will be WONDERFUL to have it all in one space. Plus I think there are some really great things to be learned sharing a room. I wish J could have the experience too! Time will tell and soon if this is the right thing for us or not.

My First Post

Here we go! My first post....we'll see how this goes as the random posts of this stay at home Momma! I spend my days with my active and BUSY 2 year old daughter and gorgeous 2 month old daughter. I love them with my whole heart....and while my 2 year old is a fabulous one for chatter....sometimes I need a place to put MY thoughts....the ones that expand beyond that of my small ones. I can not promise profound. I can't even always promise coherrant...but we are sleeping more again so it should get better. I tell you 2 weeks ago I was sure my brain had left for good. I was really missing it a great deal!

OK....this will be not to long as I need to get going on some chores here. We are having a market analyses done on our house tommorow to see if we are even ballpark close to the possibility of selling our house and buying my IL's house 3 blocks away. A better house for us finacially and for a family of 6. But the idea of getting our house ready to sell and then moving all of it....with 4 kiddos aged 2mo -8years is daunting.

So we will see!!!

Ta-da! My first post is done!!
